Embark on a day trip from Naples to explore one of Italy’s scenic treasures: the spectacular Amalfi Coast. Start with a visit to Sorrento, a resort town that serves as a gateway to this beautiful Mediterranean landscape.First stop: SorrentoSet in a picturesque position on a tufaceous terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples, Sorrento is the most famous town on the Sorrento coast. Known as a holiday resort since ancient times, Sorrento fascinates tourists and visitors with its breathtaking views, the landscape of gardens and citrus groves, the marinas, the charming old town, an interesting historical and religious architecture, the ancient tradition of inlaying and of laces.
Your starting point will probably be Piazza Lauro, the most modern square. You can continue along Corso Italia until you reach Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento. Continuing along Viale Enrico Caruso you can look out from the railing to take a look at the Vallone dei Mulini below.
Piazza Tasso was in fact built over one of the many "valleys", small canyons, which descended from the hills of Sorrento towards the sea.
Piazza Tasso is the right place to stop for a good coffee or an aperitif, choose the bar that most inspires you and sit and watch the stroll.
Absolutely to visit is the cloister of 1300 often themed photographic exhibitions are organized.
Second stop: Positanoit’s time to dedicate yourself to visiting Positano, a magical village overlooking the sea that develops on narrow and twisted alleys perfumed with salt and lemons.
Visit the historic center, with the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (whose dome can be seen from all over the town) and the remains of the Roman Villa of Positano, known as "the little Pompeii of the Amalfi Coast".
You cannot leave Positano without first having done some shopping in the artisan shops and characteristic shops of the town. Among the most characteristic local products there are handmade leather sandals, Vietri majolica and the famous pieces of Positano, unmistakable with their colors and patterns.
Lunch break in Positano or AmalfiWhether you decide to stop for lunch in Positano or Amalfi, you will have no problem eating well. The Amalfi Coast is also famous for the quality of its restaurants and the raw materials with which the chefs prepare their creations.
Third stop: AmalfiAmalfi, a set of white houses that climb the Lattari Mountains and drop sheer to the sea. It is perhaps the richest and most interesting town on the coast from a historical point of view. It was the oldest of the Maritime Republics, and traces of its past are still clearly visible in the small historic center squeezed between the sea and the hills. For centuries, Amalfi has enchanted visitors with its fascinating but genuine soul and its distinctly Mediterranean character but full of contaminations, a very rich heritage of the passage of Normans and Saracens.
We advise you to start your visit from the central Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, with the Museum and the beautiful Cloister of Paradise. Then continue into the Amalfi alleys, with a quiet walk to the Vagliendola district where you can visit the Paper Museum, which tells of the centuries-old Amalfi paper mill tradition
After discovering the beauties of the Amalfi Coast, eating a delicious homemade ice cream and shopping in the picturesque boutiques and numerous shops, our tour comes to an end.

Customers say about us
Two of my co-workers had already used Imperial Car Service and I see why they raved about this service! They are all top notch customer-focused people. The owner, Michele, provides excellent recommendations on how to plan a great day and allows ample time in the plan to enjoy the sights or restaurants. He will even coordinate tour guides or make dinner reservations. And the drivers are a JOY to ride with.
Safe and professional driving (a LOT to expect in Italy!!) and friendly, fun conversation as you go. Both Paolo and Vincenzo drove us on our trip, and they are two new friends now! These guys are consummate professionals, but add a Napolitano flavor to the day that made it SO fun! We used them for 3 different trips during the week and it was relaxing to know they would be there, on time, to take care of us since this was our first trip to Italy. We will use them every time!
We had Paolo for two days and were glad of it. My foot was injured so I was using an ace bandage and a cane. Paolo considered and planned the trip in a way that made it possible to enjoy it. He is personable and knows his home turf. I would use this service again!
Paulo was recommended to us by friends in our community. We now join the chorus of people, some of them our friends, who deservedly have posted rave reviews of Paolo. My wife and I took an amazing 10 trip to the Amalfi coast (3 days in Sorrento and Capri, 3 days in Positano and 4 days in Ravello). Paolo helped us get back and forth from the airport and from one hotel to another. We also spent a whole day with Paolo visiting the small quaint villages between Ravello and Salerno. While planning the trip in the US, I was in constant email contact with Paolo, getting ideas and feedback from Paolo every step of the way. Paolo was amazingly informative, courteous, helpful and generous of his time for an unpaid service. I always got the feeling from Paolo that he was proud of this little strip of heaven called the Amalfi coast and that his mission/motivation was to share it with the rest of us. His enthusiasm is contagious and we grew to love the food, the culture and the people of this amazing region.
My wife and I always felt that Paolo was taking care of us and his sole goal was to maximize our experience in Amalfi. Paolo gave us insights and information about what it is like to be a local which we always enjoyed. He was entertaining but always intuitively knew when to give us our own space. Paolo was always flexible with our itinerary and willing to add/delete something as requested.
Paolo took us on a full day trip to the tiny little villages between Ravello and Salerno including Minori, Maiori, Cetara and Vietre Sul Mare. We wanted to experience the real Amalfi, beyond the tourist traps, where the locals live.
Paolo completely customized the tour. Paolo took us to some shops in Maiori that were off the beaten path and he took us to an amazing thousand-year old castle on a mountain top in Minori. We ate the fresh figs, grapes and carob off the trees as we walked through the gardens of the remote castle. Amazing experience that is not at all touristy. During the 2 hours we were there, we saw only 2 other couples. He took us to a plaque in Cetara which memorializes the Jews of this town who were forced to leave their homes during the holocaust (nobody knows about this plaque). We shared a lunch of fresh salads, fried anchovies and pasta with Paolo in Cetara. Paolo took pictures of us as we walked on the the deserted beach in Vietre Sul Mare at sunset.
We can't say enough about Paolo. He was amazing and helped make this trip truly spectacular.
I learnt about PierPaolo via a friend who had used his services a few years ago. So I needed a reliable, honest, and reasonable transportations in Amalfi areas for a week for our family including 4 kids ranging from 2-8 yo. PierPaolo, his dad and younger brother are exceptional. They are so reliable, honest, thorough, hard working, great communicating , super friendly, helpful, flexible, etc... They waited in their cars while we dined, they made reservations for us and even used his credit card, made stops for us taking pics, etc. They went beyond to make our travels much easier, especially with young kids and accommodated date our plans. On the top of their best services, PierPaolo didn't even charge extra when our family of 3 friends tagged along for excursion and ride to the airport which resulted they had to use bigger bus to accommodate our size along the way.
His services is one of our highlights of our Amalfi. I wished to live close to them so that we would become good friends, not that we weren't now.
Any way, I can't talk enough about how great they are and am humble for their best efforts and services for us.
Grazie mille!
