We will be waiting for you under the ship or at the hotel exit, with a sign with your name on it and a big smile. Welcomed with a modern 8-seater Mercedes Van equipped with all safety and comfort devices.
Thus begins our tour that leaves for
Pompeii.
The city Pompeii offers the vision of a Roman city frozen in time due to the devastating eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. You will see Roman shops, baths and brothels. You will live an experience of Pompeii before and after the epic eruption of 2000 years ago.
From Pompeii you will proceed to the wonderful
Sorrento, one of the treasures of the Amalfi Coast. Home of the great Torquato Tasso, Sorrento is the most famous town on the Sorrento peninsula.
Lose yourself in its gardens and citrus groves and in the alleys of its charming old town, full of churches, historic buildings and artisan shops.
Also known as the land of mermaids, it has often been celebrated in songs, immortalized in paintings and praised by poets. Let yourself be guided through the historic center of Sorrento, and treat yourself to a visit to the Cloister of San Francesco, in the Villa Comunale. The heart of the city is
Piazza Tasso, the starting point from which to begin exploring the city.
From here you then move on to the famous
Corso Italia, the main street of the town where you can go shopping. The city also excels for its food and wine tradition with typical products such as limoncello, sorbet and lemon delights to be savored while walking along the Corso.
After Sorrento the tour proceeds along the road to
Positano.
Along the way there will be stops to allow you to photograph the splendid views that the coast offers to tourists. Positano is simply the pearl of the Amalfi Coast, not only for the many terraces, stairways and colorful houses, but also for the emotions it can transmit to those who visit it. Of all the towns on the Amalfi Coast, Positano is probably the most exclusive, an overflowing casket of breathtaking landscapes, deep blue sea, fantastic food, and fashion. In fact, Positano, loved by VIPs since the 1960s.
Its intricate streets that wind on the ridge of the mountain that descends to the beach are full of people and shops, artisan shops, where you will be spoiled for choice for purchases, sandals are the most famous thing in Positano, also because the craftsmen make them by hand and tailored according to the model you want. Visit the historic center, with the Church of Santa Maria Assunta (whose dome can be seen from all over the town) and the remains of the Roman Villa of Positano, known as
"the little Pompeii of the Amalfi Coast". The delights of the area are many and it is practically impossible to resist, for
lunch we can head up the hill of Monte Pertuso, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Positano, in a delightful restaurant to taste traditional dishes (homemade), sip a fragrant Limoncello, and why not, try the renowned Lemon Delights, a typical dessert from the Amalfi coast.
At the end of this fairytale tour, your private driver will take you back to the port where the ship awaits you or to your hotel.

Customers say about us
Two of my co-workers had already used Imperial Car Service and I see why they raved about this service! They are all top notch customer-focused people. The owner, Michele, provides excellent recommendations on how to plan a great day and allows ample time in the plan to enjoy the sights or restaurants. He will even coordinate tour guides or make dinner reservations. And the drivers are a JOY to ride with.
Safe and professional driving (a LOT to expect in Italy!!) and friendly, fun conversation as you go. Both Paolo and Vincenzo drove us on our trip, and they are two new friends now! These guys are consummate professionals, but add a Napolitano flavor to the day that made it SO fun! We used them for 3 different trips during the week and it was relaxing to know they would be there, on time, to take care of us since this was our first trip to Italy. We will use them every time!
Friends in Westchester, NY highly recommended Paolo to us and he did not disappoint :) We went somewhere different every day with Paulo (Mon-Thurs) including a very early morning ride to Naples airport Friday. Paolo is very warm and friendly, so knowledgeable and has great recommendations. He really puts his all into his clients and personalizes the experiences...that’s huge! Highlights include: Vesuvius, Amalfi Coast drive (of course), lunch in Ravello with an amazing view, shopping in Sorrento & Positano, and listening to Paolo talk about the history, the countryside and his family. Definitely ask for Paolo!!
Paulo was recommended to us by friends in our community. We now join the chorus of people, some of them our friends, who deservedly have posted rave reviews of Paolo. My wife and I took an amazing 10 trip to the Amalfi coast (3 days in Sorrento and Capri, 3 days in Positano and 4 days in Ravello). Paolo helped us get back and forth from the airport and from one hotel to another. We also spent a whole day with Paolo visiting the small quaint villages between Ravello and Salerno. While planning the trip in the US, I was in constant email contact with Paolo, getting ideas and feedback from Paolo every step of the way. Paolo was amazingly informative, courteous, helpful and generous of his time for an unpaid service. I always got the feeling from Paolo that he was proud of this little strip of heaven called the Amalfi coast and that his mission/motivation was to share it with the rest of us. His enthusiasm is contagious and we grew to love the food, the culture and the people of this amazing region.
My wife and I always felt that Paolo was taking care of us and his sole goal was to maximize our experience in Amalfi. Paolo gave us insights and information about what it is like to be a local which we always enjoyed. He was entertaining but always intuitively knew when to give us our own space. Paolo was always flexible with our itinerary and willing to add/delete something as requested.
Paolo took us on a full day trip to the tiny little villages between Ravello and Salerno including Minori, Maiori, Cetara and Vietre Sul Mare. We wanted to experience the real Amalfi, beyond the tourist traps, where the locals live.
Paolo completely customized the tour. Paolo took us to some shops in Maiori that were off the beaten path and he took us to an amazing thousand-year old castle on a mountain top in Minori. We ate the fresh figs, grapes and carob off the trees as we walked through the gardens of the remote castle. Amazing experience that is not at all touristy. During the 2 hours we were there, we saw only 2 other couples. He took us to a plaque in Cetara which memorializes the Jews of this town who were forced to leave their homes during the holocaust (nobody knows about this plaque). We shared a lunch of fresh salads, fried anchovies and pasta with Paolo in Cetara. Paolo took pictures of us as we walked on the the deserted beach in Vietre Sul Mare at sunset.
We can't say enough about Paolo. He was amazing and helped make this trip truly spectacular.
This was one of the best days we had during our two weeks in Italy . Paulo was our driver for several days and was amazing .
He was accommodating , flexible and friendly.
When we got off at wrong traini station in Naples.. no problem .. Paulo came and got us !
His love of the Amalfi Coast is evident and you experience that when your travel with this tour. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe. His restaurant recommendations were the best! We can’t wait to return !
